This project is about different cultures from around the world. I wanted to demonstrate how beautiful traditional clothing and accessories are. This was a side project I started where I collected images from various cultures.After compiling my mood board of images, I began to select images from which to base my drawings from. I began with Mongolian culture, with the beautiful traditional Loovuuz, a Mongolian hat. It is the most respected traditional clothing and represents one's social status. Then I chose the gorgeous Indian culture with jewellery from Hindu culture. Their jewellery is said to enhance one's beauty. It also represents wealth, power, and status. My final topic was Chinese culture. I found photography by Kiri Xue, a French photographer. I fell in love with the culture's style and how beautiful everything was. As a result, I created this piece using his photography as a reference photo.
